Dr. Jacques de Vos Malan has spent the past 6 years directing Australia's largest interdisciplinary research program,
publishing evidence-based research reports for Australia's Chief Scientist.
With a group of Australian academics and Academy Fellows, each distinguished in their own field,
he authored Delivering Sustainable Urban Mobility, ACOLA 2015, a major report on the future of Australian cities.
He holds degrees from the Universities of Cape Town, London (King's College) and Pretoria.
His work is published in New York, Cape Town and Canberra and included in the National Library Canberra,
the Gaudeamus Foundation Contemporary Music Library, Amsterdam and the New York Public Library.
He worked as an arts administrator in South Africa and Australia for more than thirty years,
where his roles included Executive Director of the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra
and Chief Executive Officer of Melbourne Recital Centre.
