This paper focuses on promoting reading as an activating element of creativity, in the Middle General Education of the Municipality of San Francisco 1, in Zulia state. This was carried out using dimensions such as identification of strategies, types of text, levels of reading comprehension, and tools for creative thinking. The research was framed in the line of educational supervision. It uses a descriptive approach under the modality of a feasible field project, which is the same one that followed a non-experimental design. A population of one hundred and sixty-five (165) subjects was selected, and they were stratified into eleven (11) managers, sixty (60) teachers, and ninetyfour (94) students. The survey uses a Likert scale with five (5) alternatives of weighted response. The instrument was validated by expert academic peers, through the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, reaching 0.9624. The information collected was organized, tabulated and represented by tables, and then subjected to a statistical analysis using the SPSS software. This helps us to establish a base line of dimensions with argument for possible proposals that motivate and promote reading as an activating element of creativity. ER -
