It highlights the attitudes and perceptions of these students' towards the role of English in their lives. The data was obtained through semi-structured interviews with (50) of the students in addition to written self-reports submitted by (150) as compositions in university-level courses during the first semester of the academic year 2013-2014. The results showed that the overall attitudes of the students were unanimously positive towards the role of English in their lives. The study also found that these attitudes can be related to a number of intrinsic as well as instrumental factors, i.e. job market, personal development, cultural interaction, social status, travel, media, technology, and educational experience.
