ESJ Publishing for Peace – Open Access Initiative
European Scientific Journal, ESJ: Publishing for Peace: Open Access Initiative for Promoting Peace and Peaceful Conflict Resolution
We invite researchers to curate an ESJ special edition.
- Background and Rationale
As we celebrate the 15th anniversary of our open-access scientific journal, we recognize the importance of academic research in shaping a more peaceful and just world. Over the past 15 years, we have published over 30,000 research papers, contributing significantly to various fields of knowledge. Now, in response to the increasing global need for peacebuilding, diplomacy, and conflict resolution, we are launching a series of special editions dedicated to promoting peace and peaceful conflict resolution.
This initiative aims to bring together scholars, policymakers, and practitioners from diverse disciplines to explore innovative solutions for conflict prevention, mediation, and sustainable peacebuilding. To ensure the widest possible dissemination, all accepted papers will be published free of charge, reinforcing our commitment to open-access knowledge sharing. Additionally, we invite scholars and institutions to curate ESJ special issues within this theme, ensuring a broad and interdisciplinary approach to peace research.
- Objectives
- Promote scholarly dialogue on peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and diplomacy through high-quality research publications.
- Support global accessibility by ensuring all accepted articles are freely available, removing financial barriers to publication.
- Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, welcoming research from social sciences, humanities, law, political science, and other relevant fields.
- Amplify impact by engaging researchers, policymakers, NGOs, and international organizations in discussions around practical conflict resolution strategies.
- Foster academic leadership by inviting experts to curate special editions, allowing for in-depth exploration of key themes.
- Celebrate academic excellence by recognizing outstanding contributions in the field with special awards and recognitions.
