Abstract

The relationship between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and economics has been explored by numerous scholars, most of whom view AI primarily as a form of intelligence comparable to human intelligence. The perspective developed in this article is fundamentally different. Rather than considering AI as a substitute for human cognition, we approach it as a machine language possessing the essential characteristics of any language system. From this standpoint, the parallel with economics, understood as a scientific language for describing, interpreting, and transforming economic reality, becomes readily apparent. From an epistemological perspective, it is therefore essential to examine the structure of these two languages and to trace their historical evolution through the successive metamorphoses of capital. The transition from machine capital to financial capital, and ultimately to AI-based capital, reveals the broader context within which these transformations have occurred and sheds light on their economic, social, and political consequences. Such an analysis makes it possible to understand artificial intelligence not merely as a technological innovation but as a new stage in the historical development of capitalism itself.
