THE IMPACT OF EMPOWERING LEADERSHIP ON WORK PERFORMANCE AND WORK FAMILY CONFLICT: THE ROLE OF GENDER
Abstract
Several previous studies have investigated the influence of empowering leadership on employee outcomes. However, research on investigating the potential negative consequences of empowering leadership has been neglected. In order to achieve a better understanding of these complicated relationships, this study predicts relationship between empowering leadership and work-family conflict in combination with other important factors that affect this relationship. Work engagement is examined as a mediator of the empowering leadership and work-family conflict. Gender is examined as moderator of work engagement and work family conflict.Downloads
