LES FACTEURS DE RETENTION DU PERSONNEL DANS LES ENTREPRISES CAMEROUNAISES : LE CAS DES INSTITUTIONS FINANCIERES

Abstract

This study places in prominent position the staff retention factors in Cameroonian enterprises. The sample is composed of 73 enterprises comprising of 8 banks and 65 independent microfinance. Data were collected by questionnaires address to managers and employees of these enterprises. The results matched by Ordered Logistic Regressions show that in Cameroonian financial institutions context, the intensity of human resources management, union presence, the age of the institution and job satisfaction promote staff retention. The study recommends to institutions to focus on their HR policies and to foster unionization of their employees.
