TRANSFORMACIÓN DEL MERCADO LABORAL PROFESIONAL EN LA INDUSTRIA MAQUILADORA EN CIUDAD JUÁREZ, CHIHUAHUA, EN EL 2012
Abstract
An analysis of the transformation in the professional labor market in the maquiladora industry in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua was performed in 2012. The methodology employed is cross-sectional study and a descriptive analysis divided into two stages, gathering information through a top-line regional circulation newspaper during weekends of the year in question to identify the overall job opportunities offered at the professional level, the second phase involved the analysis of data through SPSS (version 20.0). Based on this analysis, a predominance of engineering careers was found, with emphasis on industrial, mechanical, electrical and mechatronics. It was also observed that an industrial park located in the west, had a dynamic labor supply. Among the job offers most requested, Quality Supervisors predominate, followed by Production Supervisors. It must also be pointed out that other skills frequently requested are certifications approved by international organizations. The professional labor market in the maquiladora industry in Ciudad Juárez meets requirements of competitiveness in an environment of relentless struggle between manufacturing regions; professionals should have more competence and especially they should have certifications that demonstrate concrete and specific formation. This professional labor market tends towards hyper specialization that encourages productivity and professional efficiency, and their successful integration, but weakens its vision in a global market and the essence of their role in society.Downloads
